Occasionally everyone likes a full-blown competitive match, even if it's a friendly. We cater for this in a variety of ways.
An annual event that utilises all six courts and is open only to Club Members and invited guests. Played early April, it is held on a Sunday morning. Pairs are drawn from a hat and a series of no less than three timed 30-minute games are played with winners being chosen on points accumulated during the period of each leg, regardless of the number of games played.
Naturally, exhausted participants retire to the pub before returning home. For pictures of this year's tournament click on Picture Gallery
A series of three or four Challenges is planned, probably at weekends outside the main season (i.e. the Autumn up to Christmas and from late spring into the summer). The Eton Fives Association, Friends and Organisers will be challenged to raise sides against us. Social events will be arranged around each Challenge. More detail to follow......
INTERNAL CLUB COMPETITION
An internal ladder system or its equivalent is on the drawing board, dependent upon an increase in regular players so that we can 'indulge' in reserving a court or two every Tuesday for a planned match. More to follow.......
The opportunity exists to enter this new on-line, web-based, individual competition. It's designed to accommodate players of all abilities and although you are an individual entrant, you also represent your club.
